My opinion that could work fine as long as nothing can snag the nylon. Could work a charm actually. Would like to hear the pro's comments? Reefman?
Won't it bent open? Maybe another twist around?

Hi guys

Just got back from Alexander Bay. Stopped of at Port Nolloth, what beautifull water. Had a chat with some locals there. Seen some pictures of some monster Steenbra's that was caught there. Pitty i did not have time to fish there. Would surely go back there sometime and give that water a try. Will try to upload some pics later of the water there. Looking forward to this weekend, just hope the storms will not be to bad.
I see on all the rigs that you guys posted that they all use bottle sinkers. Does it make a difference if you use Grab sinkers? I just found that the currents at Sonwabi plays havoc with a sinker that is not anchored. Which sinker do you guys prefer?
Cheers sakkie

Sailfish, the principle is fine, but can we have a closeup of the clip?
Why???????? Just jokeing. Shure you can.
At this clip... will a big fish nog pull the clip open?
Thats the main idea. If the sinker is stuck and there is a fish on the line. The swivel slips out of the clip when it hits the top swivel if it is fouled on some rock. Then you can fight the fish freely on the rest of your rig with the sinker been dumped. Look at a thew posts back at the ful view of the complete trace. Think u got the clip and swivel mixed up the wrong way.  I tested the pull of the swivel releasing with a 5lbs line and it go,s out fine without the line snapping.

Hi Sakkie, i liven in Port Nolloth for a while a few years back, i did not get the chance to fish much then but i heard from the locals that Kob were caught there at times, mainly in the Mcdougals bay area, Alexander bay apparently also produces good kob some times of the year!

Good luck, Sakkie. The bad weather arrived in Knysna around 5pm. The temp had dropped from a mild 20 to a chilly 14.5 in an hour. Maybe I'll get some fishing done tomorrow afternoon with the rising tide. ^^..

Hi

Went out this morning, no rain and actually a nice day.
North wester was blowing but nothing to write home about.
Met up with Walt and Jimmy, both sealiners.
Jimmy had a couple good pulls on white mussel but nothing solid.
The same went for me, i used blood worm and even sent a Tiger prawn flying.
All that was biting was the small little buggers. Robbing us of prescious bait. Also had a couple good pulls but not solid enough.
Who is going to show me the trick of these Falsebay Steenbra's?
The wife recons i must give up. GIVE UP? never in my life!
I will be out there soon again.
Walt Thanks for joining. Pity about the bloke who broke his Purglass rods' tip.
Cheers
