Komkommer by die see)

Verwag hom so voor 10:00.

Sien julle ander mense Sondag, DV ^^..::S

Not while they watch the nekked girls dancing. Or is this another Flamingo ?

I'm going to buy myself a sat phone. Voda rubbish took R180 in a few minutes (I doubt it was 10 mins in total) while I was in Moz, the talk time cost will be about the same and you can talk from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world.

lol - Flamingo Lodge in Angola, there first stop-over.

imho before you go the very expensive route (& delays via the satelite) of a satelite phone, just buy yourself a prepay card when you enter Moz, believe me it's way cheaper.

If you want the convenience of your own number, roaming is the only way.  Doesn't matter which home network you're on, roaming is bloody expensive.

Hi Koper,

It took them 5 days to master the act of activating the international roaming, and it took several phone calls before someone not too lazy finally lifted their butts to actually do it. I did take a prepay card with R180 on it, they were PO because they wanted me to take a contract out and I told them where they can put it.

I bough a card in Moz for 100 Metica's which lasted longer than the R180 air time I got locally, keep in mind R1 = ~45 Metica. I'm seriously fed up with getting ripped here. I was told the cost for talking over the border is R5.50 or there abouts per minute, but maybe it is per second.

It will also be a better solution to use on the boat than any other form of comms. The VHF is only good for local use.

I forgot to mention - Satphone cost is $100 for 100 minutes. Best of all is you don't have to lick some retard's butt to put the service on. Why is every where else's services always better than in SA ???

Ai  - this is bad news man!

Hell Frikkie, seems it more difficult to get into Angola now, then it was during the bush war.

Frikkie, seems to me it's more a case of the Pretoria embassy being more full of sh!t than the Cape Town one - didn't you all used the same letter?

Sounds like disapointment all round. What a shame that red tape can cause this!

It gets tougher for Safricans to go elsewhere because of the political crap here. If you go to Europe you now have to get a visa, wasn't like that untill recently.

Nice way of telling us they don't want us there.

Sadly, it's going to take some effort to repair trust.
