So we decided to hit a stretch around gordons bay last night.my lines went in at around 7:30. To make a long story shrt, I ended up with a small cowshark and a biiig hiding! I got picked by a beast at 3am and lost it at 6:25am...all this in big swell,pouring rain and some very slippery rocks...

Howzit guys,. i decided to hit one of our beaches in false bay yesterday afternoon/evening. seeing its the first day that the water allows you to fish the beaches... so, one rod i rigged a elf head/flapper bait to look for a flattie and my other rod i rigged a smoothound head with the fillets...

a month or 2 ago, i bought two purglass 400/3's, the one ive kept for kob etc, but i had special plans for the other one... so, off came 24cm of tip, and i fitted a cheap tip just to get a feel for the rod's action... i was really surprised! it still mooered a 7 once, and it pulled 2 spotties...
