stywe lyne...

So I picked up a copy of the stywe lyne, and inside I see a article by Deon Blume. This dude is a PE (I think) resident, writing a nice article on fishing etc etc, posing with 2 steenies. Now I think that Stywe Lyne is even more to blame for allowing this hoender to place those pics in their mag. They have a big responsability as 100's of poeple read their mag. And then the one steenie looks a bit on the "eina" side... Not cool stywe lyne, not cool. At least mr Blume has fresh steenie fillets at home.

what a disgrace. keeping 2 steenies! he should be ashamed!
And by looking at the facebook page, he keeps everything. Leervis and steenies ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES! he should really not have be placed in the magazine. bad example to our youth.

My biggest cracker was caught on bloodworm, so not that strange. Keeping more than one and u-size steenies, not cool at all.

i have caught a few steenies last winter , about 7 , between 45 and 55cm ( a 55cm looks big) and have released them all.

This kakalaka just makes it hard as one does your part and guys like this rock up cast catches ( probably the fish u realeased) and takes the fish hoe without even blinking an eye!!!. swak....

because of chops like this... estuarine quality is an issue as is overfishing.

when the bag limit is 1 a day it is 1 step from being a totally protected species

they are endemic to South Africa, meaning they are found nowhere else in the world. Once they are gone from our coast, they are extinct
