I don't think it was guide wrap that caused the break....cause it was a clean break..It almost looked as if someone had cut it with a saw...:shock:

I've looked at the Fireburst but think i'am going to stay with Sensation as it's the most commom rod that can be bought in Nam....:(
If I want to put low- Riders i'll have to send it to you, cause...Yeah...well this is Nam after all...no one can do that type of fitting that I know of....:) :)

Craig, do you deliver in Nam...?

Hallo mense dit is duidelik dat gooi aksie van kardinale belang is nou hier by ons in die kaap is daar nie werklik casters in dewald ruan en craig se kalibers nie. Kan iemand dalk help met gooi tegniek of het iemand i idee hoe om jouself te leer

Borntofish78 - Kry vir jou Louwtjie Louwies se DVD "Werp sonder moeite". Daar is 3 tegnieke wat hy demo. Van daar af moet jy net self skaaf daaraan.

Blue Marlin just as common in Nam but more the R&S stuff

I do deliver to Nam, more to Henties and Swakop but anywhere is possible

Line wrap would only be caused by the leader and then the top 6-12cm at most

Impact in the past is probably the most likely cause of the break.

My thought as well.... I tend to look after my rods very carefully\well.... But now and again you tend to neglect just for a second and yeah.... tears and swearwords tends to follow after the occation....:(

I fished only with Blue Marlin...R&S and B\A... But getting a hold of B.M fresh water rods in Nam is a bit of a issue...

I'll post a photo asap and you can give me your expert opinion Craig....vgwritefv

Eerste linewrap wat hy kry, breek hy sy stok op die 4de ogie af....40m cast!!...Lyk my as hy hom reg vang breek hy hom....

Ek het gesukkel met line wrap die vorige outing, en ek dink dit was dan miskien die geval hier. Dit was maar net die 6de keer wat ek die stokke gebruik het.

BTF vir wie hengel jy of hengel jy social? as jy by die regte klub aansluit behoort jy ook reg te kom met iemand wat kan help.

anders moet jy hoor wanneer het die kaapse ouens op n ander forum weer n social, en as ek dit kan maak dan help ek jou so bietjie. ek is nou nie n wafferse caster nie maar ek het al gehoor van so paar basics wat n mens moet reg doen. onder andere moet jou gerei reg wees.

Waldok...ek sien jou stok het ook n' "skoon" breek gehad i.e hy't nie geshatter nie.... Dis n' aaklige geluid as hy breek....my hare rys nou nog...:cry1

Sal gou more die foto's post...gaan dol hier by die werk...

Ja Oom G dit is n aardige klank, veral as jy dit nie verwag nie.

Craig se nou hierbo die guide wrap is as gevolg van die leader en die boonste 6-12cm. So as ek die leader korter maak sal dit beter gaan? Ek maak hom huidiglik 1-2 draaie om die spoel van die katrol, deur die ogies to terug by die katrol.

Ek sit en wonder... Ekt al n paar keer gevoel of die bol teen my stokl tref soos ek cast... I dit nie meentlik dat iets skeefgeloop het en daai P3 teen die spoed van lig die blank kon tref en morsaf breek nie?

Mmmm very interesting!

My Angling buddy Trevor has broken two Raging Bulls Casting a M1 with a Bom and both of them broke in the same place as this one. It also never seems to happen the first time you use the rod but rather after a few outings.

Ja Steven, I heard heard from somebody else that they broke their raging bull at the same place, before I broke mine. I phoned WAFT the next day after I broke mine, and they said that they NEVER had a comeback on these rods before and never has one broken, which was obviously laughable. He told me that the person who told me that, was a liar. Anyway.....
Well I ended up paying for a new tip, at a reasonable price given to me by the owner I might add. For some people he apparently replaced their rods for free, I suppose all animals are equal, some are just more equal than others.......:lol:1
