Cool, looking forward to it!!!
Come now. The lights are off and you'll just have to grab. Nah, Royboy I'm about 3034 lures behind this okes collection. He's nuts but he comes from Rapala land so I understand.Tauruck....some very very nice "Shineys" on your racks there!!!!
Please let me know when I can pop in and help myself to a few....Lol!!!!!
Lekker, I gather you use it off your electric drill. Do you have a compressor?.Hey mikey...that set is the same as the dremel set i own and use for all my ski projects. versatile for smaller stuff. my favourite tool!
In the early days I used fillers with the resin. I guess Talcum would work but it's expensive. The resin suppliers would be able to guide you on that. Now I use a casting resin called F16. Designed for this type casting. No air entrapment, sets up quickly, no shrinkage, low heat fast curing. Perfect but costly on the face of it. Cheap in the long run. You will cast a bunch of lures with ease.
bullie, if the piece being molded doesn't have undercuts (negative curves) then you could use POP but it's not a long term solution. POP is brittle, porous and takes a while to dry properly. You have to use a good release agent etc but making your own is all R & D so give it a try.tauruck wrote:
