This weekend I'm turning my wifes kitchen into a powder coating plant! Will show you all how to do that for nuting! I've just had all the primary colours delivered to my office!

Hey nico, finding the right house, location is a mission. If I didn't have a budget I'd be there already. I'm thinking of renting a place in Ballito and letting our place here. I wish I was at the stage where I could say pull in bru. I'm leaving it to the missus. I'll sleep on the floor if I have to just to be there, LOL.

Here's #2 in the batch. Shad. On this one I turned the rear loop 90 degrees. Thanks to all the guys that suggested it. It was a joke to do. Put the wire in the vise and theft the rear loop protruding, One tweak with the Visegrip. Done.

Dorado. In the second pic you'll see a drawing. I download pics, resize them and trace directly off the monitor. You can use clear film or normal A4 paper from your printer. From there use the copy and carbon paper to get the outline onto the Balsa sheet. Balsa is great for making plugs if you don't intend carving it. The wood in question is a sheet compressed from many different pieces so the grain runs in all directions. The solution I found was to shape it on the belt sander as close as possible and then use coarse grit sandpaper for the rest. Gelaton would be the best choice if you were going to whittle but I had this sheet that I got from AMT lying in the workshop.

Yellowfin Tuna. Along with the Dorado, these are going to be the most exciting to paint. My airbrush has been in hibernation for years but soon I'll be able to get high on Thinners and Tequila. Ja, I drink the thinners and sniff the Tequila.

A guy in the States saw the pics of the Kingfish lure and he asked what kind of monsters we catch off our coast because the wire I used is sooo thick. I was going to give him an Office Fishing Club answer but I couldn't think of one. Maybe a Sard!! Told him it was all I had at the time.

Tauruk, What wood are you using for the carving of the lures? (you may have typed it somewhere, but i was too distracted and amazed by the pics to notice.)

Are they all balsa ?

All Balsa but not quite carved. Sanded on a belt sander and finished with sand paper. That's a 12mm sheet of composite that has the grain going every which way. Waiting for a few things and I'm moulding them all for repro.  Going to use carbon/glass and polyeurethane foam for the lures. Glassfibre moulds because the detail is not hectic and no undercuts to speak of. Pm coming on the other thing.
