Purefishings service is pretty pathetic.
i should know, i gave up after 10 months of trying to get parts out of them, all i got from them were lies and excuses. the last couple of those months fritz's helped me out but even so purefishing didnt cough up so i decided it was time to move on and bought a new real.
But if anyone can help you, FRITZABU can.

my opinion, if you want to redeam that 500 jigmaster, hit up a few second hand shops, cash crusaders etc.those 500's are common place at those shops. get a bust up one and scavenge the parts.

otherwise i would buy a new one, as miles said.

Purefishing dealing with Dexter at the moment, will update you guys as this goes along, so far....service/client aftercare sux...

Hallo Serra Moz, this is the reply i received from those guys, pretty pathethic in my opinion. Not even suggesting any alternatives, but at least i received a reply. Hope you have better luck.

THi Johan

Greg has asked me to let you know prices and availability on parts for a 555.
The Star is R87.04 ex vat and we don’t have stock.
The Gear stud is R55.26 ex vat and we don’t have stock

Best regards

Big ups to Werner at PureFishing, I decided to deal with Werner only, once he had received my Faulty Squall 60 (Drag settings faulty) - overnight shipped me a new one Squall 60 and added a FREE EXTRA new Squall 50 with the package!!!

So big ups to him, try and contact Werner instead, as he understands your problem....So, it depends who you dealing with. I did mention to him I prefer not to deal with Dexter, he gave me his private contact details, and my problem was resolved without any hassles.

Is pure fishing and beyond fishing the same place?Sorry got a bit lost who is the best to speak to for penn spares
?

What spares are you looking for? What type of reel? Firstly try ABUFRITZ here on Sealine, he's a fundi/guru on Penn Reels, also there's various expert "reel fixers" on the forum based in Cape Town as well.

PureFishing is Jarden Trading.

Let us know what reel what spare.

It is not a big thing it is the clicker on the 505hs,the guy at the shop said I had to replace the whole left side plate if I want the clicker replaced. It is not a big thing but I use the clicker to put the reel in free spool and when a fish takes just flip it over this work kind of as an lever drag or baitrunner. The clicker is used to put tension on the line.I think the part number is 36 on the schematic

I am not sure, do a search on Sealine, there's a guy in Cape Town - I think his username is OldSalt, another expert, should not be a problem to sort it out.

Good luck

Buy your parts on E-Bay, I can't imagine it costing you more than R70.00 including delivery from America, every South African Agent is trying to pull the wool over our eyes like we stupids! I buy heaps of stuff all the time from hair straighteners to car parts at a fraction of local prices, including GPS's, fish finders, rods, reels, lures, everything you can imagine.

They deliver right to your post office, no corruption, no nothing, just register on www.paypal.com and buy whatever you want at real market related prices with international
guarantee.

I tend to agree with you Foxhat, really easy to order from the States, shipping costs is a bit hectic though, especially when ordering a low value item, i recently paid $8 for the item and $20 for shipping.

purefishing import/distribute penn from joburg, but i'm sure any local tackle store near you can order the parts for you easily.
