Don't joke,

Picked up a lure very similar in a buy & sell shop a good few years back. Its made of white plastic, weighted a la count down, and about an inch long.

Has a great action and man is it full of teeth marks!

PLease can you post a picture of the lure I'd love to see it. It gives me great joy to know your one was full of teeth marks.

Makes me more determined to finish mine.

Finally found it!

Don't know what chewed it up like this! Its made from tough plastic so must have been quite toothy, thinking shad maybe.

Boet, that Bayou Boogie is a "Man O War".

Excellent little lure and it works, your's is proof.

It looked like this when it was new.

I even named my Bass boat after it.

Have some mana.:breakd::clap12

MMM very wierd. That looks like an antique, I saw some similar to that being sold on ebay UK and on an antique fishing lure site. I'd definately hang onto that.

Thanks for taking the time to find it. I wonder how it looks in the water. It looks by where the leader is attached as if it will be pulled upside down.

I've been itching to use it but to scared to loose the little bugger.

Any idea of where i can find a new one?

I've pulled it through the pool at home a few times and it has a great action, a vibration more than a wobble. It sinks and remains upright at all times regardless the rate of retrieve!

Most Bass shops should have them but if you can't find one I'll locate one for you.

You like the vibration hey,::S

It's made by Heddons mostly but others might be available.

Rob, sorry for the jack.

In between bits and pieces I started the tail section, the next picture is just whilst I was getting a feel for the size.

In between things I cut out the shape and size Lexan lips I wanted to use and then cut the lure and epoxied them in place.

Man it's so so so cold here in the UK today that you don't want to touch your tools, it's so cold. Anyway hopefully I finish the tail mould tomorrow and a tail or two.

My other materials have been delayed which is a bit disappointing but I'm off work for the next 4 days so I should be ok time wise if they arrive tomorrow or Monday.

There is a small to medium size delay in the tail section so I made the first jig head, I hope to make a few more today as well as complete the tail.

I'll be testing them over December. I arrive on 09 Dec, hopefully there will be enough fishable days.

Hoping to finish the tail in the next day or 2. Thanks for the compliments guys.
