Hi LGF,

The guys there never told me  what the price was, but he did say they were dirt cheap. He wasn't too fussed about losing them.... I will try to find out.

Cheers

I'm in JHB this weekend, but I dunno if we can go fishing.

But we can certainly try, just not too far.

Well, you still have my cell, so give me call, then I can (if nothing else, might be digging trenches this weekend) perhaps get you somewhere to give you those lures, alternatively, if you'd like to pop in at Western Accesories and get the colour/s that you'd like, well then that will also be good as I will then have a spare colour of each of the two kickin minnows.

BTW: At Bass Lake, they caught (poster on the diveshop wall) all the big one's on a kickin minnow by Storm Lures, so you have to get some, either way.

:woohoo

:f1shy got a new lure, it's still has it's virginity ito haven't hooked into a Mr. or Missus BIGMOUTH yet, but it should work as vlakvark caught his new PB on something very similar just a couple of weeks ago, BTW, note to self, post vlakkies PB pic otherwise he's gonna run you over ......

Loams, these things are LTD edition, mine is the bottom colour except in this pic the tail seems blue and mine is the same green as on the back fin.

I got some kickin' minnows lol

I haven't even tried them!!! I like these new ones as well, and no, you cannot post them to me bud, I just don't trust the mail service in BW.... But besides that, I am at the moment gearing myself up for my end of year trips, so my tackle budget is going into that. Also, before I buy any more kickin' minnows, I need to actually see how they hold up... I feel that the tail construction might be a bit weak, and it might come off after every take, so if that happens, I am not gonna buy them again.

I saw that Strike Pro has some hard lures thats also got multiple joints, so I might also try a few of those soon.

I know the feeling of the budget constraints and excacerbating the issue is the budget for the salty trips is eating at the freshy's budget.  The hard sectional lure that you're talking of is completely different from the kickintail minnows here's another pick of the Flex Phantom slightly more colour correct.

LGF, do you also get the feeling that if you pull that tail just a little bit too hard that its gonna come off?

Nawh, I jerked it around a couple of times, even forced the action pretty hard with my two hands, I do this kinda pre-buying-the-lure-inspection just to check if it'll last 1st - My fishing techniques (which are seriuosly lure strenght testing at times) and second that it'll last for a couple of trips.....::craz

No probs yet!!!

Loams,

I've got a few bass on them recently, think there made by strike pro. If you see the action of that lure in the water... its amazing.

Called a fishfinder in my newly renovated tackle box...

Cheers

Hiya Choppie!

No, the kicktails I am talking about is made by Storm, and you are right, the action is amazing.

Unfortunately the dolphin in my pool wouldn't take them....

Not yet Loams, but most if not all the pics at bass-lake credits the kicktails for the sizeable lgf's caught there, so somewhere in early Dec, i'll go test them there again, they don't seem to work all that well in Roodeplaat.....

I also enjoy my chatterbait allot, the weight, the feeling on the rod, the look and everything else about it.

Super fluke watermelon seed use to be a big favourite of mine and i still catch plenty fish with it but it has no feeling to it at all.

Plenty of lures has worked succesfull for me but once again the feeling and weight has been a dissapointment for me and therefore i have to say that chatterbait is my favourite so far.

Yeah. not many lures have the feeling on the line as does the chatterbaits, but having said that, I love the First three lures in the first row from the left of my obsession or passion post, fishing them the way I do, they give me some serious action not as much as the chatterbaits would but still decent enough to feel....

And they catch way more fish in any water athn my chatterbaits....

Just my 1/2 bob's worth.

Found a new product which I bought. It's called Fireline "Crystal" I tried to find it on the Berkley site but it's not there yet. They claimed that it goes near invisible in water. Of course I had to get some, despite the price and I spooled it onto my Shimano 750FB reel. I haven't tried it yet, but I will definastely give it a go in about 2 weeks time on the coast.

I will keep you guys up to date as to how good it is or not.
