Great, I have to drive past there this afternoon to get home, might just as well pop in and see, only prob is we're driving with one car and the Boss, well she might get a bit difficult, but I'll make up for that as someone gave me/her a bottle of redwine here at work so..... i o i o is into the store i go, la la lala la laa laaaaaa.

Sorry couldn't get a larger image and BTW Loams that kickin Minnow is made from a softish type of material but does seem to have some hard inner, Oh and it's found in the Saltwater section, so go perv on the salties baits and use them in DA FRESH, JAA we told you's were gonna TAKE OVER THE WORLD, we're already converting Saltwater to freshwater baits, next is the anglers themselves...... hehehehe

I'll see if they do have them at Solly's in about half an hour's time and what they cost, otherwise we'll have to see if we cant get them from www.tackle2go.co.za, an online tackle store, from where I was redirected to Storm and found these Thunder  Core Dawg's.

I went to Solly's yesterday afternoon and couldn't find the kickin minnows there, they don't even stock them, let alone it the colour that represents bait fish.

Will see, might go to Mias in Midrand 2morrow, will let you's know on Tuesday whether I found some or not?

Apologies for the late reply, we had a bit of a public holiday yesterday.

LGF, thanks, I know that the kicking minniow is a soft plastic, and I desperately want one as well!! As well as that thundercore dawg thing (paddavissie mutant!!!)

If I were to go and look for those, my first stop would be Western Accesories in Boksburg, their range of lures is astounding. They have  a whole wall full of Storm lures!!

I am going to fish Riekerts dam in Zeerust for a bit tomorrow, apparently there are some monster Bass lurking there....

Do you have directions on how to get there, say from PTA's side N1, R21 etc.  Maybe we should skip the Mias things and shoot out there as Mias is also very Expensive and added to that I don't know what their bait selection is like as I haven't been there in eons?

If I do find them there, do you guys want me to buy you's say one or two each of the kickin minnows and the thunder core dawg's in the colours represented in the posts? And perhaps give them to you's when again or in LL's case first time I see you's?

They are in North Rand Road (The road that runs in front of East Rand Mall) behind the News Cafe. Their number is 011 894 4858. Phone ahead and ask them if they have what you are looking for.

If you find them, get me two of each please, whichever looks like what Bass eats or natural colours. Please, and Thank You :D

That's the link I used, now when I look at the minnows there I don't see the exact same colour as te one in your post, the closest is the Gizzard Shad colour, ?

Managed to speak to the people at Western Acc. and they do have the kicken minnow in stock, the thunder core dawg the'll order and that might only be in sometime next week, but I have to take the Kid lure shoppping 2morrow so I'll give them a view and order some at the same time.

The person I spoke to said that they don't have the Gizzard Shad colour but they do have a greysish/silvery one with a red stripe on the side, which might be the one as in your post or the Gizzard Shad colour or something completely different, but I'll go see for myself 2morrow.

I went to Boksburg, when I said I was going (forgot to give you some feedback, eish it's two klaps I'm supoose to be getting from you when again we see each other) anyhow, you have made a huge mistake sending me there, man that place is like anglers HEAVEN, you won't believe how much I spend that day and the Boss was with, lures only about R1200-00 and I'm not even doing comps, EISSSSSHHHH!!!

Anyhow got those kickin minnows, three sets of the colour that you posted (well very close) and then also the fire tiger colour.  I'm keeping a set for you, and they were only R20-00 a lure (cheap hey), The DAWG......................................

WELL, what can I say about DA DAWG, looks good, colours should be a killer, shape should be deadly but, yes and this is where the problem is, size........ this lure is way too big to fit in your cars boot, it's the sixe of a baby croc, no seriously now it's about the length of an A4 page, I have casted it and retrieved it and boy does it shake the rodtip, (MAJOR VIBRATIONS) but it was in very cold weather and the biggest fish caught that day was on a deadsticked Gary Yamamoto 4" kut-tail, watermelon green... Oh and they only had the one, and funy enough it wasn't expensive either, it was only R42-50.

I'll go to Western Acc. again sometime and see about DA DAWG's and also want to get myself two more of those kickin minnows....

Hi guys,

Has anyone seen the lure in this pic? It's called Mr. Twister and is available in a range of colours and sizes. It's used with a jig head, but unlike any jig head I've encountered before. These heads are colour coded according to the colour of the soft lure being used and are also available in a range of weights. On the jig head is a little silver flasher as well (much like a Mepps or EffZett).

We used this Mr. Twister in Zambia and absolutely nailed the fish with them. We caught three species of bream, pike, and this funny looking thing, all on the same lure. I would be very interested to see how our local freshwater fish respond to it.

Some feedback would be appreciated.

I have something similar, but it's more like a spinner. I have never seen these in the shops. But I am a compulsive lure buyer, so if you see some, get for me too :D :D

Yip that looks alot like that bee spinner that you've talked about, I bought one of them (the one of Loams) but keep forgetting what they are called, the point I want to make is that all these lures, Mornays, Loams's spinner like 1, and chatterbaits All seem so close to each other, and then there's always the real old fashioned spinners, I'm starting to pick-up some sort of lure pattern here.  Makes sense then when the Pro's in the mags talk about "Never forget your old spinner"

Hey, BTW, that kickin minnow, IT's swimming action = Extremely OUTA THIS WORLD realistic and I've seen that many a MUNSTA was cuaght with the exact same kickin minnow at Bass lake....

Mornay can you remember the price of those them jig-bladed-grubby like goggas, huh?
