This thread will be locked tomorrow. I apologise for posting how well static mags work on my set up. Sleep tight , dont let the bed bugs bite old Salt. And heres a thought for you, to make you sleep well , Ill continue to promote static mags where applicable.....dont have nightmares now.

For anybody interested in magging their reels, make sure you mention how good the JMAG works, otherwise we will have another OLD SALT meltdown. Oh, in fact dont post anything on the reel maintenance forum without OLD SALTS permission and JRE.

I have nothing to loose, thats the difference between you and me, you should act in a more proffessional manner, we the fisherman are who keep you going.

Good morning all,

Before this thread dissappears ,I hope admin will leave it up long enough for you all to read this.

Post number 1, was to illustrate how a static mag worked for me, at no point was my intention to start a blow up between 2 products.  What has followed is actually unacceptable from all of us who have posted in anger, disappointment and personally.

Please know this, OLD SALT is very professional in what he does, I cannot dispute that, he is the reel man..LOL What has happened is alot of posts have been taken out of context and quite frankly become a personal issue. I chose my method of magging my reels, and am very happy with what I got and it quite right to give credit where its due. I have no problem with Old Salts mono mag, its just not for me, I did not mention that a mono does not work, it just has different applications which don't justify my need for it. I'm sure it is working wonderfully on the reels it fitted too, and i hope whoever has it fitted, is using it correctly to do a good system justice.

I believe I do owe everyone an apology, if I have insulted or given you the impression that I am defacing a product or OLD SALT. I'm just as passionate about my fishing as they are with what they do.

@Bambooskollie, thank you for the advice , all noted and I like many of your ideas. We both again, share a passion for a specific genre of fishing.

@OLD Salt, well, lets agree that you are good at what you do, although you might have have taken things out of context, you are probably doing what you need to do as a business owner and product developer. I think your mannerisms have caused people to give you a hard time, nothing more. Keep up the good work!...:) I retract all my nasty things I said to you...bw_l_) You are professional I respect that. I cannot force you to apologize but I would believe it would be in good spirit.

My parting thought and statement is, we should feel thankful to both Cuban Cigar(Mag-It) and Old salt(JMAG) that we have these products available to us, and it promotes SA fishing in a very good way. Both products work, you just need to choose which will work better for you.  We should not discourage newbies or whoever from asking for advice or a certain product, both should be highlighted and both should be represented with pro's and cons.  I think we sometimes forget why we are here, because we love fishing and we want to be able to catch fish and with better results.

Now I hope the rest have read the posts, advice , tips etc and you make your choice for what you want if you decide to mag your reel. And please feel free to post and comment if you have any fitted as feedback is always good!

Geez Old salt,

You have actually lost the plot, completely, you are so self absorbed in your own little JRE world, that you have completely missed the bus and are still standing at the bus stop.

Where have I slandered your JMAG! You have issues, get them sorted!

You are a classic case. A simple report back on my set up and you have gone off your rocker. Sad!

heres my last personal take, your reels you have posted look ridiculous, WALMART issued.;)

Now leave it, we all happy, we have seen the best and worse and I think there is enough valuable information here about mags than anywhere else ....Again, a good take for sealine!

Dont waste your valuable time here, you have alot of reels you need to get out, for your trusted customers, who love and support you.

:?:?:? 'brady bunch ? huh...gestapo...huh? :?:?:?:?
