He never mentioned any persons or brand that he does not like. He mentions that he has Mono Mag adjustable Mags and they didn't do what he wanted when it came to Braid Plugging with heavy tackle.

His post is about a reel set up to Plug for fish in his Home Waters.

It's not a comparison of products, it's not which is better for casting it is not which is better for which reel, it is What is BEST for his application for Plugging for Yellowtail and Garrick.

I use both, lure fishing I prefer static and for long range casting to eek out every cm I use a Monomag. Each to his own and I personally believe that to many of you jumped on the emotional band wagon and ASSUMED it was a slating of Old Salt's product, this is obvious by Jonathan's retort after he was clearly inflamed by those commenting on this thread.

Where have I slandered your JMAG! You have issues, get them sorted!

You are a classic case. A simple report back on my set up and you have gone off your rocker. Sad!

heres my last personal take, your reels you have posted look ridiculous, WALMART issued.;)

Now leave it, we all happy, we have seen the best and worse and I think there is enough valuable information here about mags than anywhere else ....Again, a good take for sealine!

Dont waste your valuable time here, you have alot of reels you need to get out, for your trusted customers, who love and support you.
