Hi guys, I need some info.....again.....:fbash. Has anyone fished Dweza River mouth and beach before? I caught a goen of a blacktail on bait there today. I threw spoon for an hour or so with no hits.

Any info would be much appreciated :fswim:fswim

Clinton, yes I'm still here. Went fishing on Sunday but ......nothing...... I hope this weather clears up and that the cold water won't give the fish lockjaw this weekend.

Cut off the fillets and slide out the head. Those boys chould be brough to the coals and chowed :)

Lekka fishing though. Elf are some of my favorite fish to catch on plugs. They really do explode after a plug.

LOL some of mine escaped shark bait and went straight to the smoke box.

I got one on a 1oz chisel nose popper and as you say it smashed it!! We also had a few boil behind our spoons when the spoons got real close. What made it even more fun is that they were feeding aggresively on a fast retreive 20mtr out so with braid and no bow in the line the hit was awesome. Unfortunately it meant we lost quite a few as the hooks weren't setting cleanly.

No Kob, but my mate Dayne and i got stuck in to a shoal of Leeries with strike pro's. there where two Fly fisherman their when we arrived and they had already got six fish.

they only wanted the white fly's and thats when i put the white strike pro on and got seven fish and lost one.

they where all between 35-45cm. so much fun on light tackle.
their where shoals of them! you get smashed two to three times before going on.

in total 16 fish where caught and about eight fish lost. the guys on fly lost most of them.

awesome days fishing and im really exited for the spring and summer fishing!

here are some of the picks

Nice Fishing Clinton, pity the big Leeries weren't around.
Judging by the level that river is tidal at the moment.
I've only ever caught kob there in the day with a colour line and spring tide.
