I was impressed with the affordability of Garmin vs Furuno

720s fishfinder/ GPS plotter 7 inch touchscreen with maps, 1kw dual frequency transducer and cable, 36 mile digital radar (their smallest) and 18 inch radome all for R28 000.00

If I am not mistaken Supreme Craft is one of the Suzuki house boats much like Seacats are for Yamaha. Kamassi Craft in St Francis have acquired the mould for both Supreme Craft and Butt Cat which I think explains the similarity with the KC.

They are very similar with the only difference being the respective deck layouts between the two at the show.

I also like the look of both the KC and the Supreme craft. But at R600k, the boat from Atlantic Suzuki is a bit stiff

Thanks to Raptor & Greenhorn for posting pics up of the show, mana coming your way guys.

I really like that Benguela 530 behind the Kamassi 520. Are they both made by Sliver Lake Marine. Are they in the same price bracket or is the Benguela a little/ alot more?

You can always return the favour by posting pics of the JHB boatshow next year. ::S

Either way the KC 520 is a winner.

Although the big boats look great and i am sure we would all sell our eye teeth for them, the logistics that come with the boats are usually the killers.

the Kamassi does not require a hugely over priced thristy tow vehicle, Does not need a serious set of ponies to get her moving and with a near perfect deck lay out for those of us that spend our days throwing lead at fish, I definitely rate it as a winner.

I was also impressed with the Bay runner at the Suziki stand. Nice little boat and nice price.

Yip Patrick is right - the respective prices are around R80 to R100 different with the Benguela taking the lead obviously.

A Pleasure Porra.

Wish i had taken more. The beguela is a great boat. I like the centre console...there`s jus so much space.. and the finish is just awesome. I`ve heard of a couple of guys buying moulds and then taking them to Silverlake Marine for the finishing. They really do a great job.

For me launching through the Breede mouth, a forward console is better. Thats why the Twister was my choice of boats at the show. The one thay had there was a bit over the top for me with the 2 x 175`s and electronic equip it had on. but also great finishing and loads of storage space.

Cheers

My idee van vakansie hou is ek moet heeltemal sat by die huis terugkom :-D Ek sal by die werk rus.

The boat at the show was on a show special on trailer with 2 60 merc 4 strokes and HDS if I am not mistaken for R315K normal price around R350/360. About R100K more than the KC.

The trailer was awesome and very well built. Would imagine it would weigh a bit. Boat around 700kg dry - with motors and kit say just over ton + trailer 1500 - 1700 my guess?

Finishes are superb. The KC is a fishing boat and extremely functional. It has more rigid lines whereas the Benguela is more rounded as is the current trend, Seacat, CobraCat etc etc.

From a ytility persepctive I wouldn't be able to justify the differences which are pretty much about looks.

That said all women work pretty much the same way to???
