This pic was taken in St.James in the 40's....the youngster on the right is my friend Tony Smith, now in his late 70's.

In the late 60's he caught two bluefin Tuna in Fish Hoek bay of over 700 lbs each!

His boat was a Renato Levy wood hull striker, built for him by Thessen's Marine in Knysna.

"Witch of Endor"....does anyone know what happened to her?...promised I would  find out

Do yo okes want to see the pic of the big Brindle referred to in my avatar?

He died 'cause he was gut-hooked...we were fishing for daga salmon and allowed him to run not knowing who he was   :(

Can a person still go to jail for this?

My mentor (Father figure) Allan Vick. Canadian pro. Played here during apartheid under an assumed name. Best friend ever. Called beer Beaver P*#s, only drank neat whiskey. Made a lot of money here when the exchange rate was $2.50 to a Rand. Was deported for accosting/molesting an SAA hostess in the back of the plane when we were on a flight back to Jhb. He was only joking around.::S .

Suddenly I feel veeeeerrrrryyyyy young!!!!

GR8 Pics

Sometimes we forget where we came from, another bit of food for thought, I'm not a big music fundi, but the music I still enjoyed the most, is from the twenty years around the time I was born ('69 - before & after)!  My mum must have listen to that music a lot.

Maybe I must start a WP34 type of thread about that!!!!!
