What is your opinion on this setup?

Hi guys,

I bought my wife a little drop shot setup this weekend.  I am VERY new to drop shot, and dont have any experience in this new game...

My wife have the following setup:

• Diawa Procaster 3000X reel
  [/*]
• Shimano 7' nexave or nexage (i think....)[/*]
• Kingfisher 0.15mm 7.6kg braid[/*]

Please let me know what you think? is the combonation right? is this a good entry level setup?

I would love to see my wife hoop up with a big grunter or steenie!!!

The rod - R295
The reel - R440
The braid - R310

Thanks. Do you know what weight the rod can cast? Im very interested in buying new light tackle rod and reel.

That's a great rod I have one but prefer it for heavier dropshot and spinning as the rating is up to 30lb line and I know a few guys who have used this rod for YELLOW TAIL of just under 10kgs so it's a beast of a rod the reel and braid I can't comment on as I don't know them well

The Daiwa Procaster 3000 reel is rated at 12lb. Best price I can get it is R551.00.

Where did you buy your setup?

i have a procaster! magic little reel!  smooth drag for the price! taken some small kingies and fairy large grunter on it! grunter was with bait though!
