Good morning Chuck. I would like to apologise to you. I'll be honest to say I did not know about the bag limit west of the lighthouse being 5. Like I said in my post, I would like to get to the bottom of this. My intention was not to name and shame but to create awareness around the bag limits and the law. So once again, like I mentioned, great catches and well done.
Thank you Sparky. I however feel that there is a massive difference in how people interpret the law, clearly shown by some of the comments above. further more, I think its one law that is clearly not being policed sufficiently. ( due to lack of resources and other reasons which I will not get into ). the truth of the matter is that there are anglers out there that take advantage off this. I have personally heard reports of 10 gallies being caught by one person, all bagged and 50% undersized. Of great whites being caught, de-finned and jaw removed, of individuals in natal bagging 12+ grunters in one session. Yes I have made a mistake with this one post and I have apologised to Chuck for it, I agree but I do think that all of us has a responsibility to report these incidents and to see it though until the respective individuals get what they deserve.
