Masai left Simonstown at 7.30am due to the late arrival of some business collegues. The run to the Bank was uneventful and we soon spotted a couple of boats on the troll. In went 2 X'Raps and 2 snakes and within 10min we had a double up. 2 great tail IDB and we set off to find some more. Picked up a couple more on the X Raps and thereafter changed to our spinning rigs. I have never seen such showing on my echo as I saw today....More than once , the echo was top tp bottom and left to right SOLID with fish symbols. We managed 6 more big fish on snakes and seriolas but lost a further 7 ...1 to a bas$%^& of a cape fur and 6 to yours truly's de barbed trebles !!The fish were in great condition and the first of mine found its way onto my braai grid coupled with garlic and lemon plus a nice cold bottle of white wine !!!
What a day ....sad to see only 7 boats out there but seems like all got fish !No snoek which was rather interesting but the abundance of 'Tail made the trip VERY rewarding .Long overdue these buggers were in this number ! Also , started to go off the bite and stay deep from about 12 noon onwards...tide change ? Wind got up , so did the swell and we bugged out !!

Gavin, myself and my old man hit Rocky Bank on Saturday.
Nice lumpy sea with a strong NW in the morning meant only myself and another boat for a while. Max boats out for the day was 5 and we had bloody good fish that were on steroids. They fought like muthas!

All fish on snake and yamashita but is there anything else?
Never saw a snoek, never looked for them to be honest.

Great day out, home early, cleaned fish drank beer and that was that.

Ja Ryan , the sea was bumpy on Sun as well and you right , those tail put up a hell of a fight.Tons of baitfish unreal to see them scatter on the surface .I am sure you've posted this before but did you troll the Yammies ? We picked up the fish about 5NM SW of the Bank in 13.4 water...but , and apologies to those who like snoek , but, a tail on the end of my line and then IDB is heaven to me ! Macdiver got around 40 fish with 7 on board ! Our fish weighed just a tad under 7Kg mark.
Is Vixen on the hard or moored?

Mattymoo, I left her on the hard hey.
No point in mooring such a small boat in my opinion.
Left her at the same place you used to keep Anthill.
