Just seen this thread for the first time. Amazing! Think I was born in the wrong era. I would have loved to see these legends in action.

Joh I have never seen this thread. Dammit what a great read and an eye opener. Respect to "Pots and Pans" and all the okes from durban wall.
They are the true legends and pioneers of the sport of shark fishing.

Ye he was in the museum .... Then one day he just woke up and said he wants all his stuff back and by his side . Not in a museum ... Maybe now that he has passed we should put it back on display...

I will print some of these picks in black and white, they will have an honrable place on my wall.

Awesome thread. Looking at the pic of the bicycles I'm sure he used the back peddle break mechanism in some way as part of reel.
