Hi Guys
We have decided to go on Saterday at 3pm and fish thru to about 10pm....high tide is at approx. 4pm which will gives about 2 hours coming up water and about 2 hours going down....
Reports have indicated seeing shark fins at the mouth and also reports of snapper salmon. salmon and lobotes being caught

I was still on North Pier when the storm hit!
It looked as if it was going to miss us, but the wind turned right around and we got the full force of storm. Had a flatty on but when I started feeling the lightining strikes through my rubber fishing shoes, I cut the line and made a hasty retreat to the safety of the car. Got drenched as my rain suit was left in the boot of my car! It came down so hard that Point road was impassable at one point and had to take a detour!

Yes, we did fish on Saturday at Tugela on the north bank
We parked our vehicles at Lobotes Caravan Park (R15 - gate closes at 10pm)
With the vehicles all locked up we decided to head down to the surf. The weather was terrible, humid with the wind howling, sand in the eyes (you know the story)
The guys were using various baits but the salmon seemed to enjoy the sardine & chokka combo. However our evening was cut short when the rain started to pelt with flashes of lightning all over the show
We had to pack up & bolt for cover.
All in all, the guys had a chance to visit the area & a great time was had. A fantastic ground indeed, perhaps we could get together sometime & fish the area in the near future.
Look forward to meeting you guys at Umdloti Beach on Saturday...
