Maybe you can help,I sent e-mails to Truecella,Supercast / MG baits and heve never even recieved a reply,maybe they only deal with Protea Anglers.I am trying to get a list of some sort to put a basic flavour to some of the strange names such as Vatikaki,Little boy,Gotcha,firefly, Guru,Dominator etc,etc.etc.

i wanted to ask some advise when fishing for big carp at midmar do you guys suggest i use larger hooks and boilies or tiger nuts? or do i go with smaller hooks and a mixture of corn pips, floaties and doughs?

during the winter months cinnamon and garlic flaoties gave me good results but i also used a raspberry dip on the bom every 3 casts or so.

what do you guys suggest for summer months?

midmar at night produces some good fish but the amount of dirt in the water is bad as well as the bass fisherman who cut me off with thier props about 6 times in a no wake zone

all in all midmar still has good fish and some monsters. i had a reel sceam at about 19.33 and struck and set the hook but as the fish turned i got cut off. i was using 24lb line and a 20lb braid leader.

Fish Chamsford last month but no fish biting . Clengoe fishing well now days sins it was clean up.

Midmar does have its very own tastes...sometimes the carp take on bunspice and sometimes they take on cherry flavoured corn pips. I wish some of the senior members would plan a social at midmar so we can take their advice...?

Banjo and pink sweets on the bom. tutie fruitie floaties on the hooks. Thus seems to work well at kzn dams. I tried other mixes this past weekend and had no luck. But on the above combo i picked up 3 nice mirrors of about 3 to 3,5 kgs at midmar.
