Hi All,
I have an old Ski Vee that needs a bit of TLC. I am thinking about taking the deck off and basically doing a full refurb.
Do you guys recommend taking it to a boat builder and getting it done right at a higher cost or is this something I could do as a winter project?
I have not done something like this before but i´m sure if i find a good fiber guy that it should not be too hard.

In the posts on this thread I see that some of you have done your own refurbs, what were your experiences? was it worth the effort?

I am based in Matola Mozambique so the nearest boat builders would probably be around Richards Bay / Durban area

Howzit get done in Maputo... You often launch at Barcos? Seen the clips on FB. Are you member at any Moz boat clubs?

Yes, I launch at Barcos quite often. Quick access to the fishing grounds

You will have to go to the clubs there's some okes doing FG jobs, just ask around most or all of the material can bought at yamaha in maputo. Where is the boat now?
