Subaru and co, I would like to see how you guys rig a live mullet to cast. I have no confidence in the single circle hook through the mouth, even though it is the most streamlined and effiecient way plus you can clip it. I just always seem to reel in clean hooks.
Yeah I know sliding is my 1st choice as well, but conditions are not always fit for sliding. Also, sometimes I can only catch those tiny mullet which are way too light to slide.DD wrote:

sliding works best the livey lives!!!
casting the livey works as well, but take care to not cast to strongly and not too far. i cast a livey with light tackle maybe 35-40m. with heavy tackle its just a slight flick 40-50m (estimate have not measured this...) max so you need to work of rocky reefs/ ledges/ deeper water or wade close to drop offs for this cast...
