@stinkmossel the bait in post 28 looks awsum. If I had to choose from all the pics so far that one will be my go to bait.

Subaru and co, I would like to see how you guys rig a live mullet to cast. I have no confidence in the single circle hook through the mouth, even though it is the most streamlined and effiecient way plus you can clip it. I just always seem to reel in clean hooks.

Guys these R excellent bait presentations. Thx guys.

I've come to learn these past 2 weeks..that the wind can do what it likes..fish must eat.

The sudden change in wind directions this week-end to WNW will favor the kobs like the last 2 weeks.

Find deep water holes @ spots like Mnandie, Monwa clifts,2de Baai, Fridge, Arendse rd and Wolfies.

PLEASE PUT UNDERSIZED KOBS BACK.

2many undersized being bagged for home bcause of their abundance in the surf zone.

sliding works best the livey lives!!!

casting the livey works as well, but take care to not cast to strongly and not too far. i cast a livey with light tackle maybe 35-40m. with heavy tackle its just a slight flick 40-50m (estimate have not measured this...) max so you need to work of rocky reefs/ ledges/ deeper water or wade close to drop offs for this cast...

you clip two thirds of the tail and thread a 6/0-8/0 suicide / octupus or live bait hook through the tail. the bait will be unfloated in cool/colder water and maybe floated in warmer water, you could pick up a geelbek.

Yeah I know sliding is my 1st choice as well, but conditions are not always fit for sliding. Also, sometimes I can only catch those tiny mullet which are way too light to slide.

Everytime I see the "ADMIN "S"" I remember my mommy catching me being naughty promptly followed by a :headb but a :X instead of the big smile. hehe
