@Mike and all club anglers- Lets say I was interested in becoming a club member(and got approval from the home affairs minister). How would I go about doing this? Can you tell me how often you guys/gals have comps, are there any prerequisits etc? Im 22.

comps are once a month, BUT obviously the more you fish the better :dban: what area do you stay in? i will direct you to the nearest club..... :beer

Im in Lakeside.I spoke to a guy by the surname of Mr Tancrel the other day and it sounds like a lot of fun!

Charlie Tancrel (the infamous) lol, he is exactly the correct guy to chat to, he has a wealth of experience and has angled with most of the anglers in the western cape shore angling scene as well as the defence force

Well I hope I am on the right track. He said he would give me a call to let me know about a getogether and some forms but I havent heard anything yet. Chatted to him for about 30min and he seems so passoinate about fishing! Am really keen to fish with some guys as passoinate as I am and learn as much as I can!

Shouldn't you be telling him to speak to passionate enthusiatic club guys like Mike Corbett or Greg Kellerman?!?!?!?  :dban:  Between you 2 you could teach him the finer skills of sliding a banana, wearing G-Strings, seeing little green fairys, and of course the essential bimini twist and double figure 8 (which I cocked up on my last attempt... So you'll have to re-show me how)!

Nick - I live in Fish Hoek and Binx (Anthony) lives in Marina Da Gama, so the three of us can always hook up for a session along the Strandfontein stretch when conditions look good! :D

I see from that post that you DEFINATELY have Mike's number when it comes to his skills!  Also makes the fish look a whole lot bigger than they are!  :breakd:
