Personally i don't see what the problem is! The way i see it this forum would not exist without members discussing things. Sometimes we want to discuss things besides knots, leaders, and reels!

Alot of guys are a part of this forum because it allows them to keep in contact with other guys interested in angling around the country. Forums such as sealine are used to share ideas, inform guys about trips planned etc.

The way i'm looking at this is that Expats idea had nothing to do with sealine. It was only a good way of opening up the idea to a large group of people to get involved!

I believe that unless a thread is racist, offensive to religion or infringes on some other deep ethical issue then there is no excuse to remove it.

I mean if i post a thread saying i'm going fishing with so and so and we plan on betting 50 bucks on who's going to get the most weight for the day. Who would like to join us...........................would that also be removed????

i have just spoken to Emp, and i agree with many of his standpoints, i will contact the guys individually and tell them what i think. maybe we leave things as they are for now? IOW no more fighting and accusations etc etc my head feels like thise now dammit :breakd:  :breakd:  :breakd:

i was thinking that each of the youngsters get buddied for the day by one of the older guys. Like that its a 1-2-1 situation and they will learn a lot and its great for their selfesteem to be taken seriously by you guys. What they lack in knowledge, they make up in passion. What do you think?!

i dont know the guys here so if you could arrange who is prepared to buddy, that would be excellent. I can let you know by end of next week how many are coming.

I still have a few goodies which i picked up in Germany on a fishing trade show, so their prizes are sorted.

On that note, 2 old buddies of mine will be here from Russia for those dates, they are fanatic anglers, however it will take me a day or 2 to explain"catch and release" to them.
