Eagle Ray 94cm foul hooked right next to spines on Exceler 802 rod & Exceler E3000 using 7kg fluoro straight through. Drag of reel was worked to the max and 40m of fluoro now cant be used, as so stretched when fish took off. Bait was mullet head drifted what an experience, new specie for me ::S many thanks Ray Hall for Photo. Bert got a 97cm at the same time as me welldone, sorry couldn't get to you with the camera.
Ray Hall of course showed us up with 2 larger Eagles. Thanks for the day guys, was phenomenal

I'm submitting these pictures for Pine since I have them ;-)

Some good strategy applied to get the rockcod out.  It dashed from rock to rock, each time a bit closer to out.

Title : Halfbeak.  Cought on a curly tail.  Although small, this was one of the more amazing fish I cought.  It even tailwalked briefly and shone like a thousand little mirrors.

LOL, this is to show I need bigger reels for bigger fish ;-)

And a close(r) up.  The bill is on the lower jaw and I suspect they use the bill same as their big billed brothers to knock their bait before taking it.

The sea's amazing veriety...

We had a big fish braai munching on this one :fbash

Just kiddin, no seriously :-D

Do dogs fishing count :-o

This fox terrier was catching fish on the rocks.  Quite funny to see.  He'd move away when the water rinsed up over the rocks but was ready as it draws back.  If a fish moved, he'd snap at them.

How sweet the taste of victory... http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=65513&forum_id=1
A 59kg Duckbill I caught after several missions and many hours next to the water .. Hooked 2 others the same month on 2 separate occasions, first one stripped me (finnor 20 chokka throwbait), second one reefed me after 2 hours...
This is most certainly the hardest I've worked for a fish this year!

I caught this Diamond ray Saturday morning of Brighton Pier, measuring in at 200cm. Tackle BM G3 rod and speedmaster reel. Hole mackrel through bait. 1hour fight and a lifetime of joy. Im very proud for getting this beast Could not have done it without the help and knowledge gotten from Sealine!
