Hi Veez

A lot of us are still learning....that is why this forum is so great and the socials even greater....we are all on a learning curve, sharing ideas, experiences and advice...and we have FANTASTIC members who are always willing to share......from our last socials, the comradery was exellent and the guys just keep getting closer and closer.

As for the baits and tackle...you can use what ever you want..just depends on what you want to target...edibles or nonedibles...and if you want to try something new and you are unsure......you will have to fight the guys off who are willing to assist

Judging from all the previous posts, you guys sound like profesionals, i was a bit hesitant to join in.

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Dying to know how it went.........and whether we made the right choice to rather fish North Pier with the conditions as they were!

Another carry over of the prize money  or not?

Hi Guys

Saturdays turnout was great. Unfortunatley the weather didnt play its part. We had a fairly strong NE blowing and a horrific side wash. The in-shore waves and swells were also huge, making it difficult for us to slide bait.

But being the die-hards that we are, we stayed and fished. Jonah had a nice bite towards the evening, but sadly no hook up. I myslef slid out a mackeral, which got hammered by the "peckers". Other than that, there was no action on the fishing side.

The conversation that followed was what made my evening. All the guys grouped up and we shared our opinions and stories on the many topics of angling.

Some of the ideas that were mentioned

1. We are looking at fishing an over night for the next round

2. Venue - Tugela Mouth

3. Date - 17 March ( NB this to be finalized )

In regards to the venue, we have chosen a place with accomadation, accessibility, safety, entertainment, and hopefully some good fish.

We will be posting all details soon for the next round under Fishing Tournaments and Events.

Guys that didnt attend this last social, please feel free to air your views and opinions.

The kitty has been carried over to the next round

Cheers

Nivi4ZN

Sounds great as Tugela fishes well over the next couple of months, unfortunately I have a competition on that weekend of the 17th so will not be able to join you guys.

Lobotes,

Umdloti(17/02/2007) was yet another successful social event for Sealine, unfortunately there was no result.

Stay tuned for details on our next social competition.
