Sorry - Ancient mariner is right R30K per person - if it were R5K per person I would live there :)

Compare that to trips such as the Seychelles islands etc which start at R40K excluding flights minimum and it puts it in perspective. Comparitively priced trips would probably get you 4 days fishing from a base camp in ski boats elsewhere. Bassas is a 24/7 X 13 day total fishing immersion.

BluFlu, 30K is well worth it.I reckon the costs of all additional lures, lines, braids, leaders and misch must have set you guys back a bit as well. Mr M Oreshit in other words...

Nope Mike - all normal expenses and additional shipping etc (which in fairness was not really neccessary) was well shy of R30K. Good value at just more than R2K day all in.

Tackle costs - well that is an entirely different story.

I'm sending the thread adress to all my useless fishing friends just to make them jealous ;-) Trying to get them together for a fishing trip is like herding cats...
