So the fish are still around swimming in all the poo :?:? still cant get the hull of my boat clean after my last trip. Anyone know if anything is has been done about those burst pipes. Been asking around and noone seems to know. sad sad case of events.

Some bad news for boat anglers... Due to a serious raw sewage leak around Tiger Bay area the public slipway was closed earlier in the week and The Rod Club slipway is closed since this morning on recommendation of Nature Conservation.
Definitely do not eat fish out of the Swartkops :?:?:?

The truth is the ppl eating it don't even know they eating it as most of the tigers are sold to the fishshops @ 35 a kg can get a half loaf and a papsak if they eat the fish they only eat the stompies and mullet sad state of affairs that river

Ja, I suggest people definitely do not go for "catch of the day" unless you really know where the fish came from and def not if it say's Grunter or cob.:?:?

Does any one have more info re the 2 bodies found with gun wounds at Swartkops yesterday (see today`s Herald)?

The first one was a fisherman who was shot & killed & robbed of his vehicle. The second was found on the beach.

So took the boat for a run and hooked a new species on lure.was kind of a saprise. Think it was more a teretorial attack than a food attack. Was on a 5inch jirk shad. On release it spat out 6 fully developed babies wich also swam of no prob.

@ Rock Lobster, that's quite a rare thing to happen. Perhaps it was protecting eggs?

I got two of these on my last trip.

Hey RL. Great on the new specie for you.
Those barbs have had the youngsters in their mouths since october. If ufish the area from the bridges to the mouth you can see them in shoalsall over. Black patches moving along the bank is what you will notice.

Ive managed to get some late arvie sessions in and there has been some stunning leery around. Although i have had alot of chases and follows the bites have been coming on bigger lures. Mot fish have fallen to the 17cm max rap. jigging it while retrieving it has been working best.

And hows this guy.
Can see he picked up an early injury from due to being caught before.
Check the eye. Completely blind but still feeding properly and healthy.

And if you want to know where most of the cob population is going? Look no further. The leervis have been feeding of them flat out.
One fish spat out around 5 as i landed it

Had a quick session this morning to test the boat - quietish, missing being up north
