That net had 20 crays in it. 15 were size, and we were 4 on the boat. Sure was a quick session.

We fished 3 nets, and had 26 size after each net had been pulled once! That after the 1st net had only 2 crays in it!! The 2 nets after that both looked like the picture posted. What a day.

Will be interesting to see who thinks where thay were caught.
South West Reefs around Cape Point?

One more, both nets pulled at SW-Reef outside Cape Point. Used freshly caught hottentot for bait, cannot beat it....

Very good question... Some boats must have launched today at Millers, Dassen and Robben. Water in False-bay should have warmed up a bit ????

Any Info would be appreciated !!

From what I heard today, waters got colder around Simonstown, so no yellowtail in the foreseeable future.

So was there any snoek at Millers today.

Small handful of boats ran out of Houtbay this morning. Couple of them off to the deep too by the looks of it.

Please let me know whether the guys get anything. Going out on Saterday. Considering Cape Point or the deep depending on the catches. Really need to get some blood on deck!

Heard 100's a man was caught by the boats from Millers yesterday. Price was around R35. Snoek was not far from the slip. Today the fleet is out at Millers again. Still a lot of snoek in Elandsbaai.

sorry there was nuttin to report in any case. Soem of the charter guys have been getting some yellowfin and longfin but nothing spectacular in the last week, but it just shows the fish ARE there... somewhere. Only saw one boat leaving the harbour this morning but then I wasn't watching for long.

Went down to Simonstown this morning turned round to much wind, so I can thank the wind for saving me from a day of snoek.

Apparently there were some yellowtail caught yesterday as well. Don't know whether it was on bait between the snoek.

Thats also very possible, often get the odd yellowtail between the snoek at Millers on bait.
talking about fish between on the bait between the snoek off millers....... Alan, when last did you hear of one of those big white steenbras been caught off there? I remember in the earlyish 90's there would be one or two of these fish caught between the boats most days

Remember catching some between the Seal Island and Roman Rock, on bait, mixed with a few big tail and kob, had my old friend Steven Keanly as crew, but I think that must have been in the early 1980's. Think Steven still has a photo of those fish.
