It's more fun than throwing boxes of sardine into the sea.
You are not limited by distance like when you throw stuff in with your rod.
You have visual indication when you're hooked.
You have virtually no chance of getting overwinds.
Use heavy line, big sharks don't take prisoners
Make sure you can handle the line. 70kg braid with a tight drag will have you back pedal quite a bit if you don't have the weight to support your mouth size ;-)
Use a boat rod (7') instead of the long 2-way radio whips the casting guys use, it gives you leverage and is less tiring.
Remember to wear the bucket, or your feet will never be on the ground... male or female

)
Fish away from idiots that will cast over your line... wind could change direction often. Nor sure why others always think you're on the hot spot.
Post pictures here.
Oh I almost forgot. In fresh water you pap swaaiers always drop the bait on the oposite bank. It's not the same in the sea. Your line won't reach .AU or the south pole.
50 - 100m beyond the breakers, they cruise up and down there looking for food, and the smaller ones give way to the bigger ones.
When you hook into a nice size Zambezi, call me. It's on my list.
