Powered By a 350 Chevy V8 !!!
Strong as hell and reliable as a they come...
This the 4th one and mine build by my dad. The previous ones were all Original CJ2 & CJ 5 Willys Jeep Lefthand drive stainless steel bodies...

Those Willy's are just toys, you cannot tow anything decent with them. Knew a guy who had a big block Chevy motor in his, 8L or something wild.
If he put foot it would rear on the hind wheels like a dragster, but start run sideways off the road, so you let up on the throttle, steer back to the center of the road before you can repeat the exersize.

I must agree and also disagree my dad has an old butt cat 16f and before he got old and baught a Fortuner he used tow it down to Sodwana monthly.
The drive was long and slow but we always got there and when it gets to launching never had any hassels...
If you pack your boat and vehicle correctly and spread the weight evenly, you shouldint have a problem towing anything.....Through the lagoon on many occasions and up and down the dunes with ease.
The only guys who dont like Jeeps are the guys that dont own one...lol (i am specifically talking about the old originals not new fancy ones)
But as the say Fanie each to his own.... As long as its 4x4 and canget me through rugged terein where the newer vehicles cant... i am happy !!!

The guy who had a bigblock (454" V8) in a short wheel based 4x4 where you have no weight distribution, should have known thats whats going to happen. You have all the power and torque in the world and no where to send it to and no way to keep it on the tar...
Thats overkill in such a short vehicle... The 308 V8 is much smaller, 302 V8 is even better only problem with 302 is its Ford....lol
The Chev 4.2 straight 6 would be ideal but they are chicken teeth...
The Torque beeing sent to the rear wheels is just insane...
If you build mad machines expect to be driven mad....lol
