Quite a few robberies has been taking place over the last few weeks. Guys have had of their kit stolen, no stabbings or stuff like that yet, but usually soon to follow.

I'm staying away from it for a while.

I think that with the recent increase in anglers visiting the dam some people see it as an opportunity to cash in. Lots of guys sleeping over night, and with the area being so open its easy to steal there.

I've been there a few times and wouldn't shut my eyes unless there was someone I could trust keeping watch. I wouldn't fish it alone either - not overnight anyway.

I'm sure the more people decide to stay over  and fish it overnight, these incidents will increase. If you're going to any public water be safe guys.  I have my PB out of ruimsig, but since I'm fishing alone for a while it;s not worth the trouble. I'll rather pay a bit and be safe.

SAD morning in our household

Last night I was informed that our "HOOK AND COOK" brigade has removed more fish out of the dam.

He even produced the pic's of the fish at church with his house in the background that were caught over the weekend and proudly said that the one is his PB of 10kg.

So 3 more fish less in the dam that all of us fish and 3 less fish to grow old for my children to catch.

Surely there is something we can do to prevent this from happening. BUT WHAT. Can anybody advise us as we have spoken to the Culprit about what to do.

I know for a fact now that he has work and not assumed as previously that they catch the fish as they don't have food.

Then I also know that he will be fishing on Friday night again and will be removing more fish.
