you have it free sliding below the weight carrying hook and once you know the size if the bait you pinch it tight to stop the hook moving down and making your bait a banana. The nice thing is that you can loosen it again and change the hook settings if your next bait is a different size!
I don't use this method personally cause like i said i just make up all my slides the same. I do have one or two slides in my bag with extra distance between the hooks incase i have a HUGE bait to slide!!
I just make up my slides complete at home with aprox 20 - 30cm between the hooks. If my bait is much smaller there is just more slack between the hooks!

Hi, I see that you use Waft Iron Feathers - is that the big brother 13ft series if so how do rate the rod and in your opinion will it stand up to a big Raggie ?
