2 different length rods, the one is 6" longer than the other and that 6" is all in the butt end hence the Spiral wrap on that one to assist with the Torque (PE8 definitely not the max I would venture to use on this one)

I dont get this i thought PE rating referes to line diameter

PE rating on the rod is which PE braid is Maximum to be used for the rod.
