Exactly what I replied on the other thread. That boat will be in storage in Atlantis till the weekend, and will then be taken wherever it's needed. Looks like it should move in the water...

The ad has been placed on GUMTREE,so lets hope and see if we can get these bastads that do this and hope our goverment will wake up and see that crime no matter how small or big that we need to start teaching these people lessons and not just giving them a slap on the wrist....

I have sent a copy of the photo to MCM's perlemoen guys to ask inspectors to keep an eye out.

The boat is quite distinctive and hopefully if it shows up they can nab them

This guy/thse guys will realise the possibility of the boat being recognised anywhere in South Africa. My guess they will try to move it out the country.

All they have to do to move it, is re-register the trailer and can then legally take it over the borders.

It may be wise to also ensure that border stations to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, and Mozambique are aware and keep a look out. Offer them more reward for its discovery and recovery than what the criminl/s will.

Hope you get your boat back !

can tell you that "they" were probably after the motor, but it's just easier to steal the whole boat and then strip it.

happens alot in the PE and surrounding areas aswell.

Do you have any serial numbers from the outboard that you could post, as they might have already removed the engine and tried to sell that seperatly!

On Yamaha motors the serial nr is just a plate, it gets taken off with a screwdriver
and then the serial number is also on the welsh plug, buy another one and all traces are gone

unfortunately the people that steal motors know that.

when a guy comes to you with a motor for R2 000 (normally without any control boxes) you should know there's something fishy !

Stay away from them !

the big problem is that they will always find a buyer for things like that!!
