Dit is met uiterste leedwese dat ons bekend moet maak dat Oom Hennie Ferreira was tragically killed in a shooting on Tuesday afternoon.
Oom Hennie fished all his life and was one of the founding fathers of todays freshwater competition angling.
He was involved in organised freshwaterangling for all of 40 years and received his first Springbok cap in 1988. He was only ever member of Rands Sport and Kavalier Angling Clubs.
He was one of the pioneers of ground baits for carp fishing and his products are sworn to by many an angler.
Our condolences to Tannie Rita, children and grandchildren in this time of sorrow. It is our prayer that the lord will stand by them in this trying time.
A cremation service will be held for Oom Hennie Ferreira Monday 30 November at 11am from the NG Church Witfield.
