there is a danger in using plastic tubing that is too soft because the leader under tension will cut through it and soon cut itself at the solid ring. The Jig Star Knot Sleeve will not cut and is what the JM boys use and recommend when using the AG Chain Knot. BTW the Chain knot is especially recommended for Fluorocarbon Leaders. I've used it with regular mono leaders too without much problem. Have recently been substituting the leader sleeve with a plastic thimble, these also work very well.
