Directions on the R24 ..,. From East gate .

Proceed on R24 past the Airport on to the R21 heading toward Pretoria ,
Take the Atlas rd Off ramp .
@ 1st Robot turn left .
At t-junction turn right .
Next robot right – (Auto Pedigree on your right .)
Take the 1st left turn & keep immediately left .
Proceed straight down that road – as u see the bend of the road .

Keep left , u will have to go onto the Dirt Road & then get to the entrance .

We will be the first crowd immediately on the left as you go into the dam. Just remember guys that after the reed section, the whole dam is reserved for the papgooiers... so don't go casting next to some okes Carp rod..., he might get upset with you.
Reefer,
I drove around for 1.5 hours looking for Blaawpan, couldn't find it! Where is the T-junction after turning left onto Atlas rd? I couldn't find any T-junction from Atlas rd to Kempton Park! Eventually gave up after 1.5 hours and 1/4 tank of petrol.
Eish Brendan! Sorry to hear about this...!

I've followed these exact directions every time I've been to Blaauwpan, so I don't know what you're doing wrong... maybe you're coming from the Pretoria side???

Atlas Rd offramp off the R21 (travelling towards Pretoria) highway, first robot left takes you to a T-junction... it couldn't be simpler than that! Thats exactly how it is...

Next time get some telephone numbers bru! We could have talked you there?! Sent you mine for future reference!

CASTING CLINIC REPORT BACK

A BIG Thanks to those who did pitch.... especially to Mag-man, who gave up his time to give us some expert advice... Thanks Seun! You're a mensch!
The weather was shocking... cold and miserable with a max of 13'C - Eish at this rate we might as well emigrate to the UK - Mag-man said he was feeling quite at home!!

To Simen & Michelle, Roy and Laura, Kathie, AndriesH, GTZA, Raggieman and Andrew, thanks for coming and once again we had some good casting. Was impressed with how quickly and how determined and keen the ladies were!

:clap12

We look forward to seeing you all again at the social at the end of the month....!

Thanks everybody - another great day spent at the water.
I can comfortably add that I battled the biggest one for the day (nest) for about 25 minutes and won.:doh

The tutoring was great and the shared knowledge a winner - again.
The sorry news for the day was that Simen and Michelle are moving to Windhoek so I hope time and circumstances allow to meet up for a decent SL farewell.::respekt:

P.S. - new pb 138m - thanks Reefman, mag-man, Kathie and all the others - that new DAIWA can GOOI. (Saltist 40H for those in the market) he he he he

Eish Reefer, followed the directions, but was going towards Benoni when I took the off-ramp, how many Atlas rd off-ramps are there? I took the Atlas rd off ramp, L at the robot and drove for miles looking for a T-junction.

Realised on my way there that I didn't have your no on my phone, so my mistake all in all. Looking forward to the Social.

Guys a big thanks for the day. Linda - within an hour of arriving was consistantly casting a lovely line, and she is now chewing at the bit to get to Bazaruto and catch her 1st ever fish!!!!!

Seun, thanks chap. And Simen, Tony thanks for arranging it.

SeaLine rocks.

Oh yes Tony, when we left the thermometer showed 10Deg C. Cold doesn't begin to describe it..........

Hey sealiners, I missed out big time; Seun I'm sure you will make some time again for the clinic, I want to perfect the pendulum and the X-cast. Reefer, will we organise another one in the nearest future?
I was in Kzn over the weekend to pay a special visit to the family of the deceased (accident) there-after I went fishing in Blythedale beach, Mthunzini and uMhlanga (Eastmoore Cres). I blanked in all these areas and no serious bite, was feeding packers. What I can say though is I have fully recovered from serious backpains I had. I can now throw a 10oz sinker with ease.

A great BIG thanks to all of you and especially Simen and Andries for lending your gear. Seun, I promise to practise and practise and practise until I get it right, or fish with handline henceforth.

Jeeezzz, what a cottonwool head!

Damn, sounds like I missed out big time while blanking (not taking dropshotting into account) in Margate/Southbroom this weekend past :( When is the next casting clinic??? I'm in serious need of some guidance. I seem to be stuck in the 85 - 95m range (7 oz sinker only with the heavy setup) when casting comfortably with very little overwinds. I would like to get that up to 130m.
