XTR....RB the epitomy of engineering and quality for which you will pay dearly but performance and quality make it worth everything you pay.

Personally I do not have these but 8 x XT.....RB which is essentially the older GTE models in a new casing

Hi there, I do not mean to hijack this thread but do have a question for you learned gentlemen....

How will the Baitrunner DL2500FA & ST2500FA perform for use in salt water estuaries. Surely it would be fine with regular good maintenance ?

Your input would be most appreciated.

Thanks MJ.

Yes it is a perfect reel for that and possibly the most used reel in LTB 4kg class but a bit limited in capacity but for Kob and Grunter etc is perfect.

Could work the retrieve I think might be a bit slow.

I use my XTR-RA with 30lbs Braid and have caught a lot of Garrick, Bluefish, Kob and Shad on mine

Hello Enigma. I trust you and your family are well and that 2016 will be a blessed year for you all. I once again need to request your expertise in respect of my reels. I have the shimano dl 10000 ras. I see you mention that one can have the bushes replaced with bearings. I confess I am not to familiar in this regard. Please advise me as to who can do this for me? Can any local rod and reel tackle facility assist in this regard?

Regards
Shashi

Hi,

Anyone used the Baitrunner CI4+ XSB or XTB? Comments? Thank you.

The XTB and XSB are.big pins with Instant drag settings that are used like Baitrunner but which are not Baitrunner.

In this class/size you'd be looking to the Baitrunner LC and not the Big Pit and neither of these are recommended for conventional RSA Carp Fishing.
