Great White caught in net of trekker

How far out do they take the nets before they pull them in?

I stand corrected but i think this is not the 1st time this has happened that a great white gets caught in a trek net in false bay. I personally know some1 a good angling friend and also member of sealine that did exactly the same thing. He took the great out of the net and walked it out and played it in the wave till it was revived and swam off.

Gotta admit it guys.. Those are magnificent creatures! With em being so prolific here in PE at the moment, I have had the privilege of seeing em up close and personal. Those sinister eyes are somin else! I can only but respect this creature and its form, perfection!
It will and does happen that they are victim to our methods. What I would hope is that we, as educated, civilized anglers take each and every necessary precaution and measure to ensure that, in the event one is caught, it be treated with the deserved respect and safely returned.
