GRAPNEL SINKER MOULDS

I have everything you need to make the sinkers including the spring steel wire that you use for the grapling part of the sinker.
I also supply a sample of the top clip that you tie your sinker line to and clip to your bait.
This is my own design and its is much simpler than the clip that comes on the sinkers you buy.
With this design you can now make the long booms on your sliding sinker and still clip it to your end ring for casting.

Can't go wrong with the advice from my ballie. He has been making sinkers since 1972.
You will see with practise you will get to make the sinkers faster.
I do the pouring and my ballie inserts the wires.
He put me on a stop watch the other day and every 55 seconds a sinker is dropped into a bucket of water and ready for inserting the wires.

I was in a tire shop yesterday, having the wheels balanced and aligned. I got chatting to the owner, and he said the scrap metal people were paying him about R11-00 per kilo for his scrap lead weights. So the R12-00 I paid in April, was not such a bad deal as what I had originally thought. He also told me the prices of all scrap metal had gone through the roof, so be prepared to pay more for your sinkers in future.

thank god i didnt get rid of the lead i collected over the years...i think i got easy about 70 - 80 kilos if not more..its the lead thats used on telephone cable joints..unfortunately its not used anymore..if u know guys that work for the cables didvision in Telkom u might be able to get some after they remove the old ones from joints..
