barometer pressure plays a vital role. Its always good to fish just and on a falling barrometer as there is increased feeding activity . The falling barrometer means that a coldfront is due to come shorly and the fish will feed more before the storm...works like a charm.

the places we fish in falsbay at low tide , is only cause it s out of reach , at high.

i know a lot of guys fish from low upwards too , me personally i like it round about the last 2 hours before and after high , give you 5 hours ....

would be intresting what some of the other guys would say ??

water colour obviously plays a role , for Kob ,not to generalize but most eds it think , in the day .

i try to go with the guys , whos gonna be on time ! , whos not babelas when the fish are bitting !  and the same ppl thats got the love and appreciation as i do for the ocean ....:wfish:wfish:ifishin:fishn:fishn:fishn:fishn:::S

Some stuff I've heard:
1/ Barometric pressure, going up / going down
2/ Before / after a cold front
3/ water temp at present, as well as increasing / decreasing
4/ upwelling of cold water close to shoe
5/ low tide/ high tide/ incoming / outgoing tides
6/ spring tides / equinox
7/ day / night times

Too many variables: best fishing time is all the time.
Good company, good weather and plenty of effort.

When I don't have a camera, I catch some fish. So have to agree with the whether or not you have a camera playing a role.

also depends what species and where your location is for targetting that particular specie .
For example at my favourite galjoen spot I need to start fishing about 2 hours after low and fish until an hour before high otherwise youll be washed away and the water has to be a bit dirty and foamy, however just around the corner is better at high tide.
then for shad the water should be clean  and high .
This varies from place to place obviously.
for galjoen I prefer just after a cold front when the sea has calmed a bit but is throwing out red bait and mussel bunches onto the beach or between the gullies.

Hi Junaid, do yourself a favour, spend R100 and purchase Secrets of Sea Angling by Nicky Lourens. You will find it in most tackle shops. You will not be dissapointed. Bait is the Secrete by the same author is also quite good.

your theory makes perfect sence but the guys hear in the cape swear by the fact that an increase in the baro brings the fish on the bite?
