Jeeslike, its been ages!!!

time to get this tread updated.

we have had some other trips this year, which included boating.
so let me recap quickly.

One evening, having live bait out, we got this bigger shad.
it was around the 2,5kg mark.
it made for a lekker dinner that night.
Just another father and son outing

Strong stuff!!!!
They just do not give up.

it felt like forever!
lucky it was not my fight to have.
Jaun always wanted to pull in a big shark.
Well this is his biggest so far.
Done and dusted, dad, do not waist time to keep on catching them. They are real back breakers!

i have been playing around with some free swimming rigs and where and when to do it.
eventually i managed to get my first edible on a free swimming shad off the Ingwe beech area, St lucia Kzn.

it was a poor fight from this fish. maybe due to tackle being too heavy

if you wanted to catch bigger fish, then you need bigger baits
some shad bellies made up for some edibles

it must be noted, that fishing was really poor this year.
year on year it has been going down.

but the up side of it all is that, it is still the safest beech to fish from alone at night.

we have been seeing that plenty of traffic has been present towards maphelane.
building materials will be loaded onto vehicles which are then transported via the beech to maphelane. short cut
to what extent the renovations are done is unknown.

where the renovations are being done is also unknown.

a big project is on the table and its only time before it all is launched.
it does include maphelane, false bay/ fanies island and the greater st lucia wetland area. it seems like big developments are in the pipeline for the area. seems like some investors were found. it might even be Chinese investors.
time will tell.
