Fishing at Tago

Hi Guys
we are planning a trip at the end of September to Tago. this will be our first trip to Tago and need some basic info please.

* which is the ideal spot at Tago to set up camp and Fish?
* what are the best times for bigger fish?
* what baits work well ?


any info will be greatly appreciated...

Hi Vinesh,

Fish there often, the comp ground side is way more productive than the camping spots to the left, baits and distance 40-120m, sweet flavors work well - pampoenpitte floaties got me a few big grassies, nice venue just a mission to get there.

Hi there i have fished tago many times as well the comp side is alot better then the camping side the bigger fish really comes on between 1 and 3 am as well as 4 pm i have always had alot of success there on plain white floats and dough with some banjo and fx over my feed. For the carp in the early am hours try and get your line to about the 140 m range or as far as possible with a sweetcorn tiger or tjop tjop on a hair rig style trace but with a mieliebom try stay away from too much dips or flavours on these and give it time......
