 Finally after endless hours of work and a truck full of trail and error, I have succeeded in motorizing my kayak to near perfection. I took her out this morning on "Sea Trails" in Gordansbay (less than 1km from where I stay) Everything worked perfectly, inclusive of the garmin fishfinder. I towed her to the harbour with the 125cc scrambler, launched, tested for about an hour and returned home. The only thing left is catching the fish

Hope that explains it all. Pls note that the steering bar goes through an plastic bush with a screw in locking bolt allowing me to lock the steering once I,m going thereby allowing me total handsfree operation. I found that I can steer the boat by simply moving my upperbody from side to side. That in itself is a big bonus cause I have both hands free for fishing

there is the complete setup, I am now in a position to move on a moments notice to fish and that GENTLEMAN was one of the fundamental reasons why I took on the project
