This problem is getting out of hand. It will be the downfall of Sealine if it continues unchecked. Admin PLEASE do something, even if just deleting the posts??? There are posts and usernames, eg Hongwei28, that have been reported many times and there is just no action taken???
Some of us still enjoy, support and contribute to Sealine on a regular basis, to me this lack of communication and action from admin is a slap in the face.

Guys, please don't blame the admins for this. this is a forum at the end of the day which means that anybody can join and anybody can post. This forum would not be what it is today if we didn't have that type of privileges.
A possible fix for the issue:
Any new members who are trying to join should have to answer a question as to why they are interested in joining the site, and admin can vet them before they are allowed access to the site.
Alternatively, a rule for new members posting where the post gets vetted by admins before it's posted.
Regards,

I was thinking along those lines as well... When I joined one of the other forums (think it was boatfishing) I had to ID the fish in their logo before becoming a member. SL could do something like asking what the common name is for a Cape Salmon... And if you're not from round here, give them the chance of mailing the mods for the answer... Just a thought.

I would gladly accept any form of admin on this site. This is super annoying. The wealth of knowledge on this site, would be stupid to let it all go to waste...Even if its just being able to delete threads and ban those involved. I have A LOT of spare time and Im on the site daily.Any one else willing to take on the task as well?

Its a good suggestion, but where are the admins? They used to be here all the time a few years ago. Members report posts and literally nothing is done. People send emails and they never get a reply. Sealine admins dont get paid to operate the site and we get that people have lives outside of Sealine and life gets busy sometimes but lately its looking like they left the building altogether.
