The Reel is not worth the small price - rather spend some money on the reel.

The Rod is great for the price.

Sunshine

Negotiate with R70 more and ask them for the daiwa regal 2500 5i and the megaforce 702 mhrb.

this is a better set Med heavy rod, but still light and a better back bone and the regal 5i reel is twice as much, better than the crossfire.

Need to negotiate mate!!!

they will be surprised but they will know that they can afford to give it to you!!!!!

I have

- Daiwa Exceller 8ft 56g with Daiwa Exceller 2500 reel this will cost you R1500 and its a great combo.

- Daiwa Megaforce 6.6ft with Daiwa Exceller 3000 reel

If you buy try to buy the first time right otherwise you will end up like me with 4 different rods and reels and R 4000 later you dont use them.

You can PM me then and have a look on my Facebook

Check out the Exceller 802 + Exceller 3000 loaded with braid/fireline. I use 1/8 to 1 ounce jigheads, this past week I used 1 ounce ball sinkers and a massive sand prawn on a 1-0 hook to target steenbras and it worked well. Have a 3ounce spoon for spinning for elf.

Oh, and a 2 piece Loomis and Franklin 9ft MH which should be fine to throw up to 1 ounce for R400 but I could do R900 for both the Exceller and rod...
