coffee grinder

The best of the best is the SALTIGA, but at R4500 I should flippin hope so.

For good value the Diawa Exceller range goes from the 1000 for dropshot-to the 4000, which I use for spinning. Caught some nice fish with it already, and it has a great drag system - very smooth. There's a pic of it on the Mapelane thread. Also other pics on a "diawa exceller" thread somewhere in the archives, just do a search for it.

Hope that helps - it really depends what you want ot use it for...

There is only one coffee grinder that lasts and is value for money that is the BG (Black Gold) range. I use mine on my paddel ski as well as for spinning and has not given any problems. Before i bought my BG I went through many grinders non of which lasted. I have a BG 20 and a mate has the BG 15 that has gone through hell and is still running smooth.

Hi guys,

I fully support the BG motivation. I have two BG 30's on my boat and they are brilliant. The best spinning reels I have ever used. Even my charter customers comment on how smooth they are. Best of all, they are a whole lot cheaper than the Saltiga and Exceller, and work just as well!

Cheers

Hey Kingfish,

Listen to the guys, You can't go wrong with BG series, It will cost u around R680.00 but in time it will work out cheaper than anything else.

Take care of this reel and your kids will use it after you're gone.

I might be wrong, but I think they don't have the 'instant anti-reverse' or permanent anti-reverse that other good reels feature.

Pleeeease look at the Okuma Eclipz (rugged salt water BG) range, or the Okuma Inspira range, before deciding.

My Inspira handled a giant 5.5Kg bonefish (on a 9#fly rod) like a dream!

Comes with a spare spool which is handy.....quick changeover from monofil to braid when required!

Cheers

I was surprised at my Daiwa Regal. Landed a 3.7 kg Kingie on 6lb Fireline and 10lb leader. Smooov drag! Only R270. I rectum most grinders with the front drag system are good these days.
